The holiday season  is now in full swing and your calendar is probably becoming jam packed with dynamite social events that you’re thinking what the H…E… double L… L… I am I going to wear?!? Here’s an idea don’t wear what you usually wear step it up a notch!

Here are a few ideas to help you looking fab and will surely help you make an entrance for the entire glitzy season.

1- KEEP IT LIGHT

Try a pale winter palette:  creams, pale pinks, blues, and green (Easy to accessorize with GOLD or SILVER)

THINK FRESH and CREAMY

Some of you shy away from lighter palettes sooooo….If you must must reach for something darker go for something more taupe or a shimmery copper tone like this great flouncy wrap dress or copper ruffle dress instead of black…(Don’t get me wrong I DO love BLACK as a staple but this holiday season try something new)

You can add a smoky eye and a rouge/burgundy lipstick to add drama to either of these looks.

2 – GO for BOLD ANTIQUE LOOKING JEWELRY: Necklaces and Cuffs

This beautiful purple cabochon necklace will add a sophisticated and a romantic feel to any simple ensemble…I caution you though NOT to overload on the accessories one striking piece will suffice. You don’t want to look like you raided your grandmother’s jewelry box…

3- SLIP ON SLEEK VELVET

The great thing about velvet is it’s RETRO and FRESH all at the same time. VELVET embodies DEPTH and TEXTURE …

This red ress has 4 GREAT THINGS going for it’s 1) RED 2) VELVET 3) ANIMAL PRINT 4)ONE SHOULDERED (don’t be afraid to be edgy. With black tights and no competing accessories this dress stands alone)

FOR your OFFICE HOLIDAY PAR-TAY consider a BOOT CUT VELVET PANT. It’s LUSH and FESTIVE but not too over the top.

Here’s to a season filled with A CREAMY ICE CREAM PALETTE, an OLD ANTIQUE VIBE and LUSH TEXTURES…

Tie Your Laces

This Fall  laces are BIG in footwear… from oxfords to lace up booties it all ties into together…

Let’s start with these Gianvito Rossi suede peeptoes

Gianvito Rossi Lace Up SuedeIF you have a little more attitude and a daring personality you can slip on a pair of these babies. They have a flair of military inspiration…but softens up with the suede pieces

Here is another daring military inspired pair…love the burnt tan color…

These Alexander McQueen fold-over lace up booties are amazingly svelte and grungy at the same time. (McQueen was/is a GENIUS) They have Uber stylish vibe… almost like wearing a bomber jacket on your feet…LOVE IT!

For  those Straight Laced folks that are scrolling down thinking this stuff is SO not me you can always go the traditional route and add a pair of conservative Oxfords to your shoe repertoire. They will instantly make you looker sharper and smarter…Trust me!

All of you that know me know that flats are not my favorite thing in the world but in the case of Oxfords I can make an exception…

There are lots of different color and texture options to choose from. You can pair them with a casual or a work look and you’ll be instantly spiffy. Because oxfords have a masculine vibe so you should always balance that with feminine appeal: a flirty blouse, or a flared skirt.

I had to add this SUPER CUTE patent leather and plaid combo oxford it’s a good pop for an all black work outfit that is if you’re not at a super conservative private equity…
